Images scan too dark

Hello there, I really like what your software can do but the problem I'm having is my scanned images are coming out a tad dark. You don't have a brightness scale so I was wondering what I could do. Lowering the contrast only brings in gray areas which look washed out. I've compared other software to yours and this is the only issue I'm having.
You are also at an excellent price point compared to going out and buying a scanner brand new.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on getting a brighter picture.

Hello, thanks for your feedback. If you click the little black triangle under the Scan button, you can find the scanner selection dialog and there is a brightness adjustment button there. It should work with most scanners.
